I recently joined the Ipswich men's league, signing up as an individual, and it's been absolutely great fun so far. A lovely bunch of people with a mix of ages and abilities. We're building numbers right now so haven't yet broken out into teams for the league but it's just great to have a regular game again, all the better doing it with a friendly bunch. If you're thinking of joining then I highly recommend!!

I currently attend EmPowerBall in Leeds and I am really enjoying it. I had not played football since school and loving that I am playing with such a lovely group of people. Everyone is really welcoming and supportive😊😊 I would highly recommend joining

I am so glad that I joined EmpowerBall in November 2025. I was apprehensive to join at first - however I never should have been. All I can say is that everybody was so welcoming, kind and supportive on my arrival. You never feel out of place and you do not need to be a good football player. It’s so inclusive! As the youngest player on my team I don’t feel any different to anyone else. If you’re anxious to start, then don’t be! Come along to your free trial and I am positive that you will want to stay! Hopefully see some new ladies on our team soon :)

I found this group in January. As an overweight, unfit, middle aged woman, I was so apprehensive about joining a football team. My fears were allayed before I’d even met everyone by the founders. Wow! What an absolutely fabulous group of women! I have made so many wonderful friends, we play together, we socialise together and we laugh together. Your age does not matter, your weight does not matter, your fitness level does not matter. The only thing you need is enthusiasm. This very quickly became my favourite hour of the week and that has not changed. Sign up ladies! What have you got to lose?

I’ve recently joined this women’s football league and it’s been such a fantastic experience! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, which makes it easy to feel comfortable whether you’re completely new to football or have played before. The atmosphere is really encouraging – with everyone supporting each other, and there’s always a positive vibe on and off the pitch. It’s also a brilliant way to stay active and have fun at the same time. If you’re looking for a supportive, social, and energetic way to get into (or back into) football, I can’t recommend this league enough! ⚽💪

I joined Empowerball after a long time out of sport due to injury. I was very nervous to play football again and found it hard to find a football team. I came across Empowerball and thought I'd give it a go. Everyone was so welcoming and made me feel comfortable. I've now been playing for a few months and I'm really enjoying it. I would definitely recommend
