I've always loved football but as I've got older and fatter playing a good old game seemed like a passed dream. But with empowerball colchester it's given me the opportunity to get back into it! We play on smaller pitches 6 aside with all different player capabilities. So dont overthink it just come try it out. You'll love it!!

I found this group in January. As an overweight, unfit, middle aged woman, I was so apprehensive about joining a football team. My fears were allayed before I’d even met everyone by the founders. Wow! What an absolutely fabulous group of women! I have made so many wonderful friends, we play together, we socialise together and we laugh together.
Your age does not matter, your weight does not matter, your fitness level does not matter. The only thing you need is enthusiasm.
This very quickly became my favourite hour of the week and that has not changed.

The guys have made it so easy to fit in, and I'm honestly loving playing football again. I wasn't sure it would ever happen after a long hiatus (14 years!?) so it's awesome! Just the right balance of friendly and competitive, and a great way to meet some awesome people, and boot a ball around at the same time!

Honestly couldnt think of a better way to spend a few hours a week! Ive been wanting to pick football back up for a while and its been incredible. Ivan and james have got a real good thing going and the girls on a tuesday evening are PHENOMENAL! A real solid group of pretty decent human beings. 110% would reccommend

Playing at powerball each week is fun & exciting you never know what the score will be your team could be losing 6 -1 & before you know it it's 6 all because your team has kept there heads up & fighted well to come back
