Anna’s story perfectly sums up what EmPowerBall Football Leagues is all about. Anna plays in our Colchester league and is the proud Ambassador for Ipswich. Before joining EmPowerBall Football Leagues, she had never played football in her life. At 52, she decided to give it a go and she hasn’t looked back since.
That quote, “It’s the best hour of my week,” comes from her own experience playing every week in Colchester. The laughter, encouragement and team spirit she found there inspired her to help bring that same joy to women in Ipswich. Her journey shows that it’s never too late to try something new and that football can be for absolutely everyone.
